Thanksgiving and Christmas programs are available for Milan Area School District residents and residents of the 48160 zip code, who have income at or below 150% of the poverty level.  


There is a drive through food pantry every Thursday starting at 4pm for first 100 families. 

The lines will likely be long, but worth the 15-20 minute wait. 

We Distribute food to 100 families each week.  We start food distribution at 4pm on Thursdays and we are open year round.  We are closed the week of Thanksgiving, and sometimes the week of Christmas, depending on how it falls.

Chelsea Hospital (775 Main Street, Chelsea):

Provides a hot meal at no cost on Thanksgiving & Christmas Day. Please call the Chelsea Senior Center to RSVP: (734) 475-9242. The deadline to preorder meals is one week prior to each holiday.

Faith in Action

Provides Thanksgiving & Christmas assistance to households in the Chelsea & Dexter school districts. Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.  


Hope Clinic: 518 Harriet Street, Ypsilanti

Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas Bags.  

  1. Thanksgiving: Turkey and sides distribution on Wednesday November 27 from 9AM-11PM. First come, first served. 
  2.  Christmas: Distributing small gift bags to visitors during the first 2 weeks in December.


Thankful To Go: Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Meals

Need help filling your table with traditional Thanksgiving delights? We’re here to make your holiday season even more special and will be providing items to add to your Thanksgiving meal. Drive-thru options (while supplies last) may include the following: 

Gobble up the Goodness: Frozen turkeys and hams
Sweet Indulgence: Pies and baked goods to satisfy that sweet tooth
Farm to Table: Locally-grown produce

Drive-up service for your convenience | First come, first served. 

Supplies are limited; one giveaway per car

Restore World Church and The Restore Food Pantry team would like to invite the community out for a day of giving, as they work together to help to serve those in need. If you’re free November 23rd from 8am-12pm, meet us at the Freight House - 100 Marketplace – Ypsilanti, and receive a free Thanksgiving dinner
