First Congrestional Church-Chelsea
FCC Diaper Bank – First Congregational Church of Chelsea
Provides free supplemental diapers, pull-ups/training pants, wipes, diaper rash cream, and feminine hygiene products to anyone in need. Families may pick up products every other week. Registration is simple and confidential.

The diaper bank serves anyone in need from any community. It is closed on Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day.

They also distribute diaper-bank products through partner locations in Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Ann Arbor, and Stockbridge.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians provide free one-on-one car seat checks to make sure the child is in the correct seat, the seat is installed properly, and the child is buckled safely. Appointments are approximately 30 minutes per car seat.
Expecting parents are encouraged to call at the beginning of the third trimester to schedule an appointment before the baby is born. Most events and fitting appointments require advance scheduling.

RxKids
Rx Kids – City of Ypsilanti
Rx Kids provides direct cash support to pregnant individuals and families with infants who live within the City of Ypsilanti.
Eligible families may receive:
- $1,500 one-time prenatal payment if applying at 16+ weeks pregnant
- $500 per month for up to 6 months after the baby is born
For Ypsilanti, eligible babies must have been born on or after December 1, 2025. Families can apply anytime from 16 weeks of pregnancy until the baby is 6 months old. Residency must be within the City of Ypsilanti; other Washtenaw County communities are not currently eligible.
No income requirement is listed. The program is designed as universal, unconditional cash support for eligible families living in participating communities.

Washtenaw Area Council for Children (WACC) – Safe Baby / Safe Sleep Program

Provides education for pregnant individuals, parents, grandparents, and caregivers on safe sleep practices, shaken baby syndrome prevention, infant safety, and caregiver wellness.
