Community Action Network (CAN) – 2026 Holiday Wishlist Program
Community Action Network (CAN) provides holiday gift assistance to eligible children and families living in or participating in CAN programs within designated communities, including:
Arrowwood Hills and Bryant neighborhoods
Creekside Court
Hikone
Green Baxter Court
Brick Community Center (Brick Elementary School, Lincoln Consolidated Schools)
Families may request holiday gifts based on their children's interests and needs. Assistance is limited to eligible CAN communities and available resources. Completing a wishlist does not guarantee that gifts will be provided.

Ypsilanti Township Holiday Event
Ypsilanti Township Holiday Event – December 19, 2026
Join the Ypsilanti Township Youth Pilot Project and community partners for a FREE holiday celebration featuring gift giveaways, Christmas ornament decorating, hot chocolate, and family fun! All are welcome.

Families needing Christmas assistance for their children can contact The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County.
2026 Registration Dates:
October 1–14: By appointment (ended)
October 15–31: Online applications only
Additional registration opportunities are expected in November. Dates and locations will be announced.

School records, guardianship documents, or immunization records confirming the child resides in the household

Hope Clinic Thanksgiving Basket
Hope Clinic is offering Thanksgiving food assistance, including a turkey and a bag of side dishes. Appointments are required to guarantee a turkey and extras.
Call to Schedule: Friday, October 23, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at (734) 961-3131.
Location: 518 Harriet St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
Walk-up assistance may be available closer to Thanksgiving if supplies remain.
Hope Clinic will also offer free to-go Thanksgiving meals on Thursday, November 26, from 5:00–6:00 PM. No Christmas-specific distribution is planned this year.
Caring & Sharing Food Basket Program
Brother Dr. Thomas A. Bass Caring & Sharing Holiday Assistance Program – 2026
The Ann Arbor Alphas' Caring & Sharing Program is accepting family referrals for holiday assistance, including Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, winter clothing, toys, and family essentials.
Distribution Dates:
Thanksgiving: Saturday, November 21, 2026
Christmas: Saturday, December 19, 2026

Aid in Milan – Thanksgiving & Christmas Assistance
Aid in Milan offers Thanksgiving food boxes and holiday gifts to eligible families living in the Milan Area School District or ZIP code 48160. Schools of Choice families may also qualify. Families must complete an intake form and provide identification, proof of residency, income documentation, and two months of bank statements.

Saline Area Social Service – 2026 Holiday Assistance
Saline Area Social Service provides Thanksgiving and December holiday meals and Adopt-a-Family gifts to eligible households in the Saline community.
Eligibility: Families must generally live within the Saline Area Schools district or have a child attending Saline Area Schools. Income eligibility requirements apply.

The Ypsilanti Community Schools (YCS) Resiliency Center provides holiday assistance, clothing, shoes, toiletries, non-perishable food, and other family support services. Services are available ONLY to families with children attending Ypsilanti Community Schools.
